Monochrome Cookies

These delicious dark chocolate cookies with white chocolate chips are absolutely amazing!
Perfect for an afternoon cup of tea or a cheeky snack after dinner.

What you'll need:
  • 125g of softened butter
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup of caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 1 1/2 cups of S/R flour
  • 1/2 of cocoa powder
  • 1 cup of white chocolate chips

Alright, firstly you'll need to cream the butter and the sugars together. To do this I diced up the butter to make it easier and then went ahead and creamed them together with an electric mixer.

Next, You need to beat in the egg and vanilla essence. Do this until the mixture has a smooth fluffy texture.

Next is to sift in the flour and cocoa powder, and then mix together to create the cookie dough. If you find that the dough is too dry you can always add a splash of milk to moisten it up again.

Lastly, we need to add the key ingredient.... WHITE CHOCOLATE CHIPS!!
Add the chocolate chips and stir in (you can always add extra if you're feeling cheeky).

Now we need to roll our cookie dough into small balls and set onto a baking tray to cook.

These cookies only need about 10-12 minutes in the oven at 160 degrees (fan forced). Make sure to only cook them for a maximum of 12 minutes to ensure that they stay soft, gooey and moist :)

Once they're done leave them to cool for 20minutes.

AND.... wallah delicious monochrome cookies!

Let me know if you try out this recipe :)
