Where have I been?!

Hello Lovely People,

Firstly I want to say I'm so so sorry I haven't blogged in like a million years! Its been one crazy year with uni and just life in general. And I still have 5 weeks on uni left D:

So where have I been?

Well let me tell you! So I started back at Fashion School around March and around this time I began interning with an independant bridal wear designer! 

Vasiliki Couture.

Its been sooo amazing, and I've learnt so much. Every Sunday this year I've been traveling to the other side of Melbourne (Mingling with the Hipsterzzz) to intern with Vicky. Ive mostly been doing a lot of hand sewing with beaded laces and and appliqué.... and growing calluses on my hands! Actually back around May I was sewing a gorgeous bridal gown and my hand literally just started pouring blood everywhere it was so random because I hadn't even pricked myself!! Luckily I didn't get any on the gowns!

What else...? 

From February - April I was working as a bridal stylist at a boutique on fancy pancy Collins ST, that was... interesting. I absolutely loved my job, I adore styling outfits, and styling someones dream gown was amazing! BUT... the boutique itself was quite tacky, the gowns were dated and the director and manager were more concerned with making sales over the brides concerns. And thats why I didn't work there for long haha!

I volunteered at the Melbourne Bride Expo again this year and it was amazing! 

Its such an experience to work backstage at a runway/expo show, and if you ever get the chance to do so, I 100% recommend it! The models were all so lovely and the gowns where beautiful! I particularly loved Anna Campbell's 'Spirit' collection gowns! 

And, that basically brings me back to now, I'm crazy deep in a puddle of silks, madly creating my final capsule collection for my second year diploma, but more on that later :P
